Warning Canadians!!!

ClubCouture has had a very busy year and trust us kitties – we are not done yet!!  This year we have had the pleasure of working with so many superstar queens we all know and love as well as the endless amount of local talent.  Last July we screeched in Monet X Change and her sponges in St.John’s.  Then August brought us the thin, white, saltiness of Miz Cracker both to Newfoundland and Moncton.  Now how could we possibly top this?   Well…. get ready!

Lovelies – we are ecstatic to have booked the mother of this NYC Superstar Drag Family, winner of Rupaul’s Drag Race Season 8, and star of music, film, internet and stage.  ClubCouture is ready to unleash the one and only suspiciously, large woman herself….

Bob The Drag Queen!!!

‘I’m hilarious, beautiful, talented and humble.’

From the moment we all first set our eyes on her in that work room we knew Bob was a legend!  Now is your opportunity to see this queen live and in person.

Tickets starting at $30 go on sale Friday, September 21st

Limited number of Meet & Greet tickets available including ticket to the show, exclusive meet and greet opportunity and professional photo taken with Bob.

Get ready Canada for an event you will not soon forget as Bob The Drag Queen walks into a city near you whaaaaat?

Presented by: Lady Cove

Alternative venue – Cochrane Street United Church

Featuring: Lori Gemmel, harp, and Nathan Cook, cello

This season, our Christmas gift to you is pairing two of the most beloved Christmas suites for treble voices – the iconic Ceremony of Carols, by Benjamin Britten, and the modern favourite Snow Angel, by Canadian composer, Sarah Quartel. Britten’s work, written primarily in Middle English and Latin, hearkens another time. In stark contrast, Quartel’s work boasts a youthful and hopeful energy. Together, we will explore the varied traditions, emotions, and colours the Christmas season has to offer. And, if that wasn’t enough, Lady Cove has decided to make its own contribution to the Christmas catalogue by commissioning a brand new Christmas suite for women’s voices by our very own Leslee Heys, Radiance in Winter. We won’t give too much away, but this exciting new song cycle explores the common and sometimes contradictory themes that winter brings forth: darkness and light, wonderment and introspection, joy and peace.  We look forward to kicking-off the Christmas season with you!

A Christmas Story
By Philip Grecian. Based on the motion picture A Christmas Story, © 1983 Turner Entertainment Co., distributed by Warner Bros., written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark; and on the book In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash by Jean Shepherd.
Humorist Jean Shepherd’s memoir of growing up in the midwest in the 1940s follows 9-year-old Ralphie Parker in his quest to get a genuine Red Ryder BB gun under the tree for Christmas. Ralphie pleads his case before his mother, his teacher and even Santa Claus himself, at Higbee’s Department Store. The consistent response: “You’ll shoot your eye out!”
Join us for this celebrated holiday classic December 7th & 8th before Scut Farkus finds you!
“A Christmas Story is still…one of the more enchanting ways to be transported to a world beyond our own. Yet it also serves to remind us how lucky we are to live a culturally rich life…and Philip Grecian’s thoughtful stage adaptation preserves the old…references.” – Plain Dealer
“Classics bloom quickly in modern times…you don’t have to have grown up with 9-year-old Ralphie Parker and his ache for an air rifle under the tree to think of A Christmas Story as a Christmas must. And [this] version is just as kindly and just as cockeyed as A Christmas Story is meant to be.” – Orlando Sentinel
“Grecian’s script retains Shepherd’s wry, tongue-in-cheek humor.” – Orange County Register
Produced by Special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company Woodstock, Illinois
