Tim Baker and All Hands with Special Guest PostData

A sure sign the season is upon us, Tim Baker has announced his annual hometown holiday concert, accompanied by his monster east coast band All Hands, for Friday, Dec. 10 at Holy Heart Theatre in St. John’s. Special guest is POSTDATA.

Baker’s songs and performances have become a part of Newfoundland tradition, with holiday concerts—growing from small stages to Mile One Centre—for more than a decade. With much to celebrate this year as fans are welcomed back to live music spaces, expect to hear Hey Rosetta! holiday throwbacks and some new arrangements on your festive favourites.

Paul Murphy leads POSTDATA and east coast indie rock mainstays, Wintersleep. It has always been a relational outfit, with friends and relatives cycling in and out. Murphy toured with Blonde Redhead on their latest record, and Blonde Redhead’s Simone Pace contributed to POSTDATA’s 2018 release, Let’s Be Wilderness. Fittingly,  POSTDATA’s latest album, Twin Flames,  is a similar meeting of old and new, with a slew of familiars contributing sounds to the record, including Murphy’s brother and collaborator from the self-titled release, Michael Murphy, Wintersleep’s Tim D’Eon, and longtime friend Andy Monaghan of Frightened Rabbit.

Tickets are $32 – $53 in advance (including tax and service fee) and will be available at the Holy Heart Theatre box office, by phone at (709) 579-4424, and online at sonicconcerts.com. Additional fees may apply. Open to all ages. Doors open at 7 p.m. Show starts at 8 p.m. Proof of vaccination plus ID (per government guidelines) and masks are required.
