So put on the Christmas sweater you got from that sweet but misguided gift giver and come on out to my YOU BETTER WATCH OUT Island Tour! I’m packin’ up Joe Tompkins, my piano player, cause he looks good in the Santa hat. You all remember Joe! Certainly, I’ll bring my guitar since a good Christmas song is somewhat lacking without it. And, of course, I wouldn’t dream of leaving home without my alter egos – the much sought after Mrs. Mavis McGrath, the scintillating woman- about- town Miss Patsy Conway, and the wise and true Mary who loves Christmas because she gets to spend so much time in church. To tell the truth, they go wherever I go!

Fortunate Ones is a contemporary folk duo from Newfoundland. Celebrated for their harmony-entwined songs of hope, resilience, and the human condition and their joyfully disarming live shows, they have toured relentlessly, bringing their open-hearted performances to thousands of people across North America and beyond.
Catherine Allan and Andrew James O’Brien have been busy since the release of their debut album The Bliss in 2015 – thousands of miles, hundreds of shows, award winning albums and scores of fans have all been hallmarks of the success the duo has experienced since their humble beginnings in St. John’s. The Bliss was nominated for a Juno Award and landed two #1 singles on CBC Radio 2’s Top 20.
On their sophomore album Hold Fast, the title track hit #1 on the CBC Music Top 20 Chart. The album also took home three Music NL Awards in 2018, was nominated for four East Coast Music Awards, and the 2019 Canadian Folk Music Award for Vocal Group of the Year. To date, songs from Hold Fast have over 16 million streams on Spotify.
Fortunate Ones released That Was You and Me in 2022 and embarked on the cross-Canada Anchor’s Up Tour with The Once and Old Man Luedecke. 2023 brought their song “Heavy Heart” a Canadian Folk Music Award nomination for Single of the Year, and saw That Was You and Me receive a Juno nomination for Contemporary Roots Album and an ECMA win for Folk Recording of the Year. In July, they warmed the stage for folk heroes Fleet Foxes, in front of a crowd 5,000 strong at the TD Halifax Jazz Festival. Now, they’re making their way back home to St. John’s, after U.S. dates supporting Bahamas and sharing Canadian stages with The East Pointers.

Kenny and Dolly! The Grand Ol’ Christmas Band is joined by Justin Martin, Randy Matthews, Kim Conway and
Lorraine Conway and maybe a few special guests along the way. NL Promotions’ Grand Ol’ Christmas Show will
feature tributes to great Kenny and Dolly, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, Jim Reeves, Elvis, Alan Jackson, Stevie
Wonder and so much! Let us get you in the Christmas Spirit this year!
Come aboard our sleigh and take a worldwide holiday tour as we travel around the globe through choral music! On December 17, 2023, the doors of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (The Kirk) will open at 3:00pm for your convenience and the performance will start at 3:30pm! Tickets are available at Holy Heart Theatre Box Office and at the door at The Kirk. This is a family-friendly performance. Tickets are free for children 10 years old and under. Babes in arms do not require a ticket.
